Vaudezilla is a production company and a burlesque troupe. We do burlesque shows, private parties, appearances, staged shows, you name it! We do the best free shows in Chicago, hands down. I think we really excel at providing accessible, enjoyable shows. Red Hot Annie & Dick Dijon really nail the production of the shows, so performing is a breeze. Our ladies, Donna Touch, Bonny Babs, Maria May I, Trixie Sparx and Barrett All and Renzena, well, we’re all unique in our own ways, friendly, and we love to perform. So you’ll always find something to love.

So we do shows like our weekly bar-top show at Blue Bayou, which is a really fun show, a great one to just hang out at the bar w/ some friends and take bets on the girls tripping & falling off the bar. Then we do Broadzilla on the last Friday of every month—that show is at Exit! So you get the dirty, punk feel of the bar and I think it really lends a sexy, badass thrill to the performances. We do two sets (an ample break in between to slam PBRs) and they’re more structured w/ Annie and I hosting. I try to make jokes, sometimes it works. This show is more wild and SO fun! And then we do whole scripted shows on stage, like Shtick With Us!

No, I see awesome performers of every shape & size at shows around the city! I believe it’s really more about the attitude than the body type, absolutely. One of the things that I adore about bq is that personality is WAY more important that what your body looks like.

The burlesque scene here has exploded over the last year! I think you get a wide variety of performers ranging from classic/retro, pinup-style to vulgar pull-things-from vaginas NYC style, to performance artists pushing agendas.

I love to work with almost everyone! I especially love working with… Donna Touch b/c she’s so professional and polished and fun to drink with. Bonny Babs is awesome b/c she teaches me so much about costuming and always helps out. Siren Jinx & Jolie are amazing to work with b/c we have a lot of similar taste in music & style and tend to have the same ideas and attitude about this silly hobby. And can I mention that I currently have a huge crush on Jeez Loueez, who is currently my main competition for Best Ass in Burlesque (in my opinion only, haha!) and I have a huge soft spot for tap dancers.

That makes me extremely happy! In all seriousness, I think my main goal in life is to help ppl think and talk about sex with open honesty. I want to challenge what people get off on, and encourage all sorts of weird fetishes.

But I am getting a little bit sick of wearing that fatsuit to bed. It’s kind of unwieldy.

Well, I just started a blog myself, and I’ve been trying to push it along w/ the limited spare time that I have! I’ve never blogged before, so it’s a challenge, but I love challenges!
